Model launching

The Political Science and International Relations Faculty, working together with the Sarajevo Medical School of the University SSST will be implementing the European Public Health and Migrations module – EUPHAM. The project is developed under the Jean Monnet Module of the Erasmus+ Charter umbrella and will deal with the highly sensitive and pressing issues of increased global public health dangers and migration crisis.

Being one of the Western Balkans countries most affected by the migrant crisis, it seemed more than relevant to establish an academic module, open to domestic and international students, as well as NGOs, humanitarian organizations and investigative journalists, that will analyze the interplay between EU public health policies and global migration.

The module will be launched on March 3d, 2022 with an inaugural conference, and will continue with specifically outlined teaching module open to international and domestic participants alike. The timetable of the activities will be updated soon.

Stakeholder workshop

EUPHAM Stakeholder workshops will be specifically tailored for local and international stakeholders working in the public health sector with a particular focus on migrant population.

Workshops also invite media representatives and all interested stakeholders to take part in activities designed to raise awareness to conjuncture between public health and migrants in the country.

All activities, including workshops agenda will be published soon.

Tentative dates for both events are November 2022 and April 2024.
